Fair Fashion Fair: Sunday 28 April
Ever done any clothes swishing? No? you are missing all the fun. Betsy’s Closet Swap Shop are returning to Refettorio Felix and I am back with Eleanor for a fast fashion therapy repair workshop. Learn how to darn those pesky moth holes in your favourite jumper and take part in some mindful Boro and Sashiko stitching to mend your jeans. We are asking for a £5 contribution at the workshop. It costs £10 to take part in the clothes swap and includes food and refreshments.
Beginners Sewing Workshop: Sunday 2 June
An introductory one day workshop for beginner and intermediate sewers. This workshop combines the key elements of following a pattern and using a sewing machine. It is pitched at beginners and those who want to improve their sewing skills. You will leave the day with a selection of small accessories made from vintage fabric. The class is taught by me, Sarah Richards, click here to read about my sewing journey. It is a small class with only 5 participants giving you chance for 1:1 tuition throughout the day.
More details coming soon, to take place in Bow, East London
Cambridge Vintage Furniture Flea: 8th June
I’ve been a fan of the Vintage Furniture Flea for a while, often picking up knick knacks for my home. This is my first time selling vintage fabric at this fair in Cambridge. With a focus on soft furnishing fabrics and my collection of mid-century bark cloth. Come along for some shopping, last time I came away with an amazing art deco plant pot!

Pop Up Vintage at Wilton’s Music Hall: 25 July
If you haven’t had the chance to explore the magnificent Wilton’s Music Hall yet then I recommend coming along to this super busy vintage fair. A stone’s throw away from the City of London, the music hall is one of the last surviving Victorian Music halls. The atmostphere of the building is filled with the ghosts of it’s lively past. Browsing the vintage stalls, listening to the live music and watching the swing dance performers is the perfect opportunity to take in the whole building, ending up in the cocktail bar of course!

Festival of Fabric: Saturday 28 September
Organised by the Felixstowe Sewing School and proud winner of a tourism award, this festival is for fabric and dressmaking enthusiasts. I’ll be selling a wide range of vintage fabrics, fat quarters and vintage buttons. I’m looking forward to meeting fellow vintage fabric fans.
The Knitting & Stitching Show: 10 to 13 Oct
I launched my vintage fabric shop at this show last year. It was amazing to meet so many sewers who value the style of vintage and the preservation of such beautiful fabrics. I chatted to so many people about their projects, favourite fabrics and prints. I’m excited to be back again this year. Find me on stand J17, next to Tilly & The Buttons.
