Here is a list of all the festivals, fairs and workshops I am taking part in this year. Come along and say hello!
Beginners Sewing Workshops: Sundays from Sept to November 2019
The workshops combine the key elements of following a pattern and using a sewing machine. They are pitched at beginners or those who want to improve their sewing skills. You will leave the half day or full day with an item made from vintage fabric (included in the price). The class is taught by me, Sarah Richards, click here to read about my sewing journey. Each class is small with only 4 participants giving you chance for 1:1 tuition throughout the session.
FUTURE DATES: 8 Sept | 6 October | 3 November 2019 – make a wide range of items.
Pop Up Vintage at Walthamstow: 21 September
Over forty vintage stalls selling original women’s fashion, menswear, accessories, designer & affordable jewellery, mid-century homeware, maps, posters, antiques & collectables. I’ll be there selling a selection of vintage fabrics and fashion.
Walthamstow Assembly Hall, 12 to 5pm – website
Festival of Fabric: Saturday 28 September
Organised by the Felixstowe Sewing School and proud winner of a tourism award, this festival is for fabric and dressmaking enthusiasts. I’ll be selling a wide range of vintage fabrics, fat quarters and vintage buttons. I’m looking forward to meeting fellow vintage fabric fans.
The Knitting & Stitching Show: 10 to 13 Oct
I launched my vintage fabric shop at this show last year. It was amazing to meet sewers who value the style of vintage and the preservation of such beautiful fabrics. I chatted to so many people about their projects, favourite fabrics and prints. I’m excited to be back again this year. Find me on stand J17, next to Tilly & The Buttons. Competition to win tickets coming soon. Visit my stall and mention my website and I’ll give you a free scrap busting pattern (whilst stocks last).
Alexandra Palace, London, click here to buy advance tickets.
