My London Studio, Events and Fairs

Pop-Up Vintage Fair | Wiltons Music Hall | 21st July, 4 to 9pm

Thursday 21st July: One of my favourite events of the year is the Pop Up Vintage Fair at Wiltons Music Hall. A fantastic opportunity to see this historic venue in all it’s glory. Live music, dancing, cocktails and of course vintage shopping. What’s not to love? Find me upstairs on the balcony with my more classic vintage fabrics and a few pieces of fashion too.

It is a sewists dream to have a place to sew, everything in one place, be free to make a mess and not have to tidy up until the project is finished. I’m very excited to fulfil this dream with my new studio in London’s Docklands. It is tiny and a bit messy but somewhere I can sew, photograph vintage fabrics for my website and pack orders. Part of Craft Central, I’m surrounded by friendly creatives and a changing gallery space. I have some of my stock on display and lots more in storage. Please get in touch if you would like to visit. Let me know what you are looking for and I’ll make sure there is plenty of fabrics to choose from. I’ll tidy up and put the kettle on! Closest station is Island Gardens on the DLR, 277 and D7 bus stops.

The Knitting & Stitching Show: Workshop

I’m not exhibiting at the show this Autumn but I am teaching a sewing workshop. Learn to make a vintage style apron.

Thursday 6 October, 2pm

This one hour workshop combines the key elements of following a pattern, constructing a garment using a sewing machine including attaching a waistband and top stitching ribbon. It is pitched at beginners and those who want to improve their sewing skills. Everything is provided for you to leave the workshop with a half apron made form vintage fabric. Using vintage fabric is a fun way to be sustainable by using pre-loved fabrics that would otherwise end up in landfill. The fabrics have all been pre-washed and will be cut ready for the workshop. Choose from a variety of designs. Suitable for beginner and intermediate sewists.

Cost: £19 including all materials, entry ticket also required at an additional cost. Use the code WT22 to get £2 off adult and concession tickets. Booking fees apply.
